Class: Euclid
Threat Level: WhiteSCP-XXXXX is a humanoid female slime with 42 internal dice and a character sheet.
A group of friends were playing a game of Ye Olde Foundation. A guy rolled to interact with a slime character they made. After he dropped his 20 sided dice on the floor, it rolled under the cabinet. Not wanting to retrieve it, he pulled out a second one. He rolled a 1 for the second dice. Next thing he knew was that a portal appeared on the ceiling as the slime dropped onto the table onto that dice. (The "group of friends" are some Foundation staff who got a copy of the game from Dr. Nick Quinn, with permission.)
Shortly after the guy said hello, the slime then took six of each dice he owned, then escaped through the open door. The guy swore he saw the dice roll inside it right before it escaped and right before taking his dice.
Subject SCP-XXXXX-A was later captured by the Foundation. The dice set was labled as XXXXX-B, noting that anything it does requires it to roll them. The dice floats inside it, but stands still until XXXXX-A decides to do something, as each corresponding dice for a full decision rolls inside it. The personnel involved in the session were interviewed after they were seen running to the subject, as their Dungeon Master explained the situation. The Foundation also got hold of the character sheet of subject XXXXX-A.
The subject is to be contained in a standard humanoid containment room, with a modified toilet plumbing system. The door has a moderately advanced lock on the inside and out, and the air vent to not allow liquid to pass. Two experienced guards are to be there. Keeping it inside however, is easy as the subject says it is too high of a danger to escape again. The subject does not need any sustenance, but can consume any food brought to it. The subject requested to create devices and enhancements after doing a placement exam, as the request was accepted by Dr. Nick Quinn.
The subject has a listed score of 28 in both intelligence and wisdom, 18 in both dexterity and constitution, 12 in charisma, and 10 in strength. The subject's alignment is Neutral Good, The subject was not listed with any abilities, but since all of the information is in pen, it can only be changed with external items or clothing, as anything on the sheet changes as it does. Character sheet is now labled as XXXXX-C. All information is on the character sheet, even any changes to the subject reflect the sheet, not the other way around.
As of this time of writing, the actual cause of subject XXXXX-A summoning is unknown, but the events are related to instances with the Foundation Knights parallel universe.
This is the first file that these white robed scribes, called "Researchers", gave me in this unknown fortress a few years ago, but the full story I have goes way before this. By the way, I'm Miranda. I'll tell you the story/interviews in chapters.
This is your interview, Dr. Miranda… er…
Bretigivnar… Breh teh give nahr.
You have passed the entrance exam to become a leading engineer and one of our best researchers. You contributed to advancing our facilities, improving our security, improved various equipment for every department, and helped create a beneficial partnership between the SCP Foundation and the Foundation Knights. However after two months after you got that position, the Site Director has accepted changing your file from SCP to a personnel of Class-B. We need to interview you right now.
Where do I start? My first day?
. (GR, month 1, year 90, day 1, 8:20 AM) }}
I was born into a family with three brothers, three sisters, two parents and two grandparents. I lived in the village of Junerithe, home to peaceful creatures, which other races call Homoslimes. The village of Junerithe was 4 miles south from the ocean 2.5 miles west from a forest, and 4.1 miles northeast from the mountains. The nearest human kingdom was 14 miles west, the Silver Coast Kingdom. We get visitors once in a while, some trying to travel to the mountains where Gathrune had been saved. I was born ninety years after the day where the wizard Gathrune had woken up alive and blessed the creatures who saved him, where I'm celebrated as the child who received the special blessing. I was gifted with what my "character sheet" says an intelligence and wisdom score of 28, a dexterity and constitution of 18… and luck higher than normal.
Where did you live?
I lived in a two story house in the middle of the front left quadrant facing the front gate. The house had 4 bedrooms, a kitchen, a Chandlery, and a Hearth.
What about your family?
My family was not poor, nor wealthy. My parents have a job as merchants, my grandparents retired from adventuring, and my siblings worked in various places in the village. My grandparents were part of a migration to a peaceful life after a blessing a wizard gave to a handful of slimes and other creatures who created a warm shelter for him in the freezing cold, almost ninety years before my birth in the Late Winter.
Let us talk your childhood and teenage years.
I grew up normally, well, normal as a slime who is beyond requiring school at birth and as wise as Gathrune himself. I tried to apply to become a wizard, but I got the role as an Artificer from the contributions in my village. I created contraptions and libraries of books… All in my spare time.
Did you have a special contraption that you were proud of?
I wouldn't say it was a contraption, but in a sense I wanted to try something new. I wanted to create an automaton that was alive, made of metal imbued with magic.
You… Created a living machine?
Yes. A male.
Can you give me an overview of how you made him?
I used an empty soul gemstone as the first part of the brain. I connected it to 10000 tiny crystal beads through silver wires and bundled them closely together. I connected them to two artificial eyes, and two artificial ears. For the lungs, I used a tube to connect to two bags of , and created the voice box using flower oil treated tree sap-
Flower treated tree sap, was it a Morning Glory as the flower?
Yes… You used that method?
That is the process of creating rubber. Continue please with your process.
I created the voice box with rubber and an air valve. The heart was carved in adamantine and enchanted to produce an oil similar to blood. I created muscles from strands of tar mixed with rubber and used coils of copper inside Varigenium. I created the bones from hollowed aluminum and Varigenium inside the shells. I used hollowed rubber tubes to carry the oil based blood. I created nerves from silver strings coated with rubber, connecting to most of the organs. The other organs were Vargenium coated leather. As I created the body, I mixed bronze, Varigenium and rubber to create a durable but flexible skin. As I chanted the animation spell, he awoken. I named him Drogavar, from "son made of metal" in Dwarven. Other than adventurers, only Homoslimes lived in the village. As I explained that I built Drogavar as a child born from metal, they accepted him. There was other automatons I built, but he was special.
You used Varigenium?
I did. Varigenium is the machine equivalent for flesh. I assume you are still using them for certain SCPs?
…Let's move on.
In the interview, you mentioned a wizard named Gathrune. Tell us the story.
I will. A story my grandparents told my parents who then told me. Also written in human books.
A wizard named Gathrune was looking for a way for someone travel between realms and create an alliance between them and various races. As he went to sleep in his bed one night, he had a prophetic dream. A voice told him to travel to the mountains that were nineteen miles away from the border of the Silver Coast Kingdom. The voice told him that the path of his lifetime to reach his goal will be there. He woke up in the morning, and packed for the trip. As he went there, it was snowing and freezing. A blizzard rolled in. His supplies were getting low. He questioned his prophetic dream, and as he was about to give up, he saw a handful of monsters. "I am over ninety years old. Please, creatures of the realm, 'ere my death be from this cold, I beg thee to not let me suffer anymore tonight." As he said those words, the various monsters quickly built a small house with a bed and a fireplace. He decided to accept the house. As he awoke in the morning, he thanked the creatures who saved him. "To ye creatures who saved me this night, I bless ye to walk among man as equals, to one day birth a child with immense intelligence and wisdom, and with great dexterity and constitution, that he or she will bless the land with their talents. Henceforth for two hundred years a reckoning will be of my name, to celebrate ye who showed me kindness. I will allow a city for thee to build nearby these mountains." The creatures evolved to a human like form, as then it was declared the Gathrune Reckoning to take place from then on.
That is quite the story.
(To collab with Djkaktus. It is mostly his area of expertise.)
Rough overview:
Meeting the Foundation Knights fort and the Foundation Knights themselves. Wizard finds a thin barrier to another world, but needs an Artificer and a Technomancer to strengthen and find source by making a device. Miranda Bretigivnar was there by a random visit. Device creates portal and Miranda Bretigivnar volunteers to go through.
Portal closes as thin barrier is no longer thin.
It's been two months since you last rolled those dice.
Two months and three days, but yes.
What did you do with them?
I placed them in a box before the placement test, as I never needed them again.
Why was that?
I rolled the dice to no longer be bound between worlds, and to contribute to benefit both sides. I rolled a perfect nat on each dice. Then SCP-343, the Universe, your realm's gods, and my realm's gods teleported me to a conference room. They agreed to let me be a major contributer to the world. Before I left the conference pocket universe, Gathrune's soul himself said he was proud to finally reach his goal. To make peace with another word and his.
Thank you. I'll be sure to write this down. Wait… Gathrune himself?
Yes. If there was anyone else I met that you should take note of, the higher ups would have to approve it.
That will be all we needed for the interview. I hope we can discuss casually later.
Will do.
